About 4 years ago, I became interested in smoking meats and startedwatching everything that I could find on YouTube, etc.
In the beginning, I just used a plain old charcoal grill and offset the fire from the meat. The results were decent, but not FANTASTIC. I caught the smoking bug completely.
For a birthday gift I received a Weber kettle smoker and started smoking on the regular. Friends would come over and say that I should be selling what I was creating.
I pooh-poohed them, but one day a friend asked me, “Did you smoke 2 briskets this week?” When I said yes, he said, “Then I’m buying THAT one and I won’t take no for an answer!” And that was our start…thanks Mauricio!
Anywho, about a year ago I found a 300 gal offset on Marketplace, but it didn’t have a firebox. A welder friend who had had my brisket agreed to make me one in trade for a brisket. Helluva deal! Thanks Rey!
Now, I am trying to work a pop-up business while working on getting a trailer to expand the business and take it to the next level If you have a good location for me to set up, let me know and I’ll see what we can do!
